Association for Anthroposophic Counselling and Psychotherapy working out of Anthroposophy
The Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists out of Anthroposophy (ACPWA) is inspired by the spiritual science of Rudolf Steiner. It aims to adopt a spiritually-informed approach to the challenges facing human beings today. These include the challenge to develop spiritual insight (a phenomenon which is known as crossing the threshold into th e spiritual world) and the challenges caused by materialism. The counselling and psychotherapy profession is also facing an uncertain future in the light of Government intervention including the proposals to regulate the profession (see about us: section on history). The Association aims to research into these phenomena and contribute to the future development of the counselling and psychotherapy profession using the insights of anthroposophy.
The Association takes the view that a heightened understanding of both spiritual and earthly realities is necessary for individual transformation, social renewal and future evolution. In other words it aims to support the development of the human soul in such a way that both reaches out to the spirit and lives firmly on the earth (see about us: section on history).
ACPWA is recognized by the Medical Section of the School of Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum
